The man who had cheated death over a thousand times finally lost a battle to the grim reaper.  It’s sad to say that death finally caught up with Robert Craig Knievel Jr, known to his fans as “Evel” Knievel.

Reports say that for some time now Evel has been battling some health issues.  Knievel was crippled with arthritis, had recently recovered from a stroke, and his body was still feeling the effects of a life spent in physical pain due to constant injury.

He told an interviewer, “I think about God a lot more than ever, though I used to ask him, ‘Help me make a good jump.’ I’m awfully tough to get along with, but I’ll tell you what: I am a good person. I wish there was such a thing as reincarnation.”  For Evel’s sake I hope he does become reincarnated into something that he has always wanted to be.
