The summers here are usually very dry with temperatures hitting 42°C during the day and the water temperature can reach a maximum of 29°C.

The best way to reach Sharm el-Sheik is by flying down. The Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, which was earlier known as the Ophira International Airport is well connected to major cities of the world. The other travel options will include boat, car and bus.

Nightlife
Nightlife in Sharm el-Sheik is vibrant with dazzling lights and loud music. Some of the popular discs include the Cactus Disco, Squeeze and the starlight disco.

Local beer
There are 2 large beer producing companies in Sharm el-Sheik and the the first one is Heineken, which locally produces and sells Heineken, Stella, Sakara and Mesiter. The second company is EgyBev and it produces Luxor, which is 100% local.

Boy vs. Girl
Sharm el-Sheik is definitely not the place to be for a woman traveling alone as most men and hotel staff can be quite pushy.

What to eat
Food in Sharm el-Sheik is delicious and they offer everything from Chinese to local Egyptian cuisine. Local Egyptian cuisine will include Asabi' gullash bi-l-lahma: Dry pastry Fingers with Meat Filling, Kebab Halla Stewed Meat, Kofta, Kofta with Apricot Sauce, Kufta bi-l-fahma: Meat fingers flavored with charcoal, Lahma mu'assaga: Savory Minced Meat, Lamb and Eggplant and many more. You can find a good English breakfast as well as MacDonalds offering their favorite Hamburger and French fries.

The beach
Sharm el-Sheikh is situated on the Southern most tip of the Sinai Peninsula and offers some of the best beach activities. You can choose to laze around on the beach or sunbathe or you can enjoy some of the adventure water sports like diving, snorkeling, wake boarding, jet skiing etc. One of the most popular adventures is the one that will take you to the reefs of Tiran and Ras Mohammed, which are also famous as two of the best diving-spots in the world. At Ras Mohammed the strong currents of the Gulf of Aqaba meet the currents from the Gulf of Suez. There is a huge population of sea planktons and fishes, which attract Barracudas, Sharks and Murrays.
